How to Make $200 a Day: 20 Ways to Make Extra Money

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read how we make money for more information.

Are you in a position in life where you need to earn more money to get ahead?

Maybe you’ve got a lot of debt you need to pay off. It could be a car loan, home loan, student loan, or something else. These days, it’s not uncommon for many to graduate college with tens of thousands in student loan debt. It’s kind of hard to get ahead in life when you carry a student loan monkey on your back everywhere you go.

Eliminating debt isn’t just about getting rid of the monthly payments or stopping the calls from collections agencies. If you don’t have any monthly payments, you can achieve something that is totally foreign to most people – financial freedom. When everything you have is paid for, depending on your circumstances, it may be possible to live very well on not a lot of money.

Another reason why you may need a way to earn $200 a day is to get rid of your soul-sucking job. Maybe you want to strike out on your own as an entrepreneur and be your own boss – and you need to find out how to make $200 a day so you can say goodbye to your job.

Why $200 a Day?

Setting a goal of earning $200 a day is, in my opinion, the equivalent of a full-time income. Let’s do the math:

There are 365 days in a year. Therefore, $200 a day x 365 = $73,000.

$73,000 a year isn’t shabby at all. Many people go to school for years to earn graduate degrees and professional certifications to earn this much.

But this amount isn’t realistic.

Most people don’t actually work every single day of the year. Everyone needs the occasional day off to rest and recharge. They usually take the weekends off and also take a couple of weeks of vacation time a year.

Let’s adjust the math to reflect that.

There are 52 weeks in a year, and we’ll subtract two weeks to account for vacation time (52 – 2 = 50).

Also, let’s assume that someone works five days a week. Therefore, 50 weeks x 5 days = 250 working days in a year.

250 working days x $200 a day = $50,000.

This, I believe, is a more realistic expectation of how much someone could expect to earn at $200 a day. $50k a year isn’t shabby at all, and millions earn that much or less working long hours in jobs they hate.

But what are some realistic ways you can earn that much?

The following are some of the best ways to make $200 a day that I know of. It’s possible to achieve $200 a day with some of these opportunities by themselves, while others may be best suited as side hustles to earn extra income outside of your regular job to help you reach your financial goal.

1. Be a Flea Market Flipper

This is one of my favorite ways to make $200 dollars a day. This is because it involves an activity that is fun (kind of like treasure hunting), and unless you live in a very rural area, you can do this from just about anywhere.

The activity I’m talking about is flipping used products for profit on eBay.

Although this strategy is often referred to as being a “flea market flipper,” products can be sourced from many different places. You can find deals online, at flea markets, at auctions, at thrift stores, at yard sales, and other places.

To be truly successful as a flea market flipper, you want to source products that you can sell for high prices. If you concentrate on selling a bunch of low-priced products, for example, you’ll have to sell too many of them to earn a decent living. By selling more expensive products, however, you can make more money by selling fewer products.

There are several reasons why this is such a good opportunity.

First, thanks to modern technology, it’s now very easy to find used items to flip. You can even source products right from home. All you have to do is take some time every day to browse items on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, and other places. New deals are posted daily.

Another reason why this is such a great opportunity is because it’s a business that is essentially recession-proof. As a flea market flipper, you never have to worry about being downsized from your job. In fact, this is a business that does very well when the economy goes through rough times because people tend to buy more used things when money is tight.

Another great thing about this business is that it takes very little money to get started. You could start off with one single product, for example, flip it, and keep reinvesting your money to buy more and more products. You may eventually get to the point where you have enough money to buy all of the products you need each month to reach your goal of earning $200 a day.

The last great reason why being a flea market flipper is such a great deal is because it is so easy to get started. You can even do it as a side hustle while you continue to work your regular job. You could source and ship products of the evenings and weekends or whenever you have free time. You could slowly and steadily work on building your flipping business to replace the income from your job. The choice is yours.

You may be thinking that this sounds like a great opportunity, but how do you get started?

You can get started as a flea market flipper one of two ways. You can take the hard way and try to figure it all out yourself – or you can learn from someone who has been there and done that.

Rob and Melissa Stephenson are a couple living in Florida who earn full-time livings as flea market flippers. It’s their primary source of income.

In addition to flipping used products, Rob and Melissa also teach others how to get started as flea market flippers in their online course, Flipper University.

Flipper University walks you through every step of the process from getting started to growing your business to the point where it can replace your full-time income. They even teach you how to ship large items by freight truck (it’s not as hard as you might think).

Rob and Melissa offer a free online webinar you can watch to see if this is an opportunity that might be a good fit for you. It’s definitely worth taking a few minutes of your time to check it out.

Check out the Flipper University webinar to see how the flipping lifestyle can change your life.

2. Be a Freelance Writer

Did you know that businesses of all sizes need talented writers to write all of their sales materials, the content on their websites, update their blogs, compose emails, and other written materials?

It’s absolutely true.

And the best part is that many of these companies routinely use freelance writers. Yes, many companies do keep full-time writers on staff, but not all of them. It just depends on the company and how much written material it needs.

In some cases, companies actually come out ahead by using freelancers instead of keeping writers on staff. Instead of paying someone a full-time salary with benefits to update the company blog, for example, companies can save a lot by paying a freelance writer a monthly retainer to write blog posts for them.

The best part of being a freelance writer is that this is something you can do from home. You could even work in your pajamas if you really want. As long as you have a computer, phone, and a reliable internet connection, you have everything you need to get started and build a thriving freelance writing business that you can be proud of.

The key to success as a freelance writer is to write for several clients at a time. Ideally, you want to form relationships with marketing managers with different companies who give you several writing projects a month. That way, if something happens with one of your clients, you have others to fall back on.

How much do freelance writers make?

It depends. As a new freelance writer, it’s definitely possible to earn $0.10 a word for blog posts. As you gain experience, you can charge more. Some freelance writers charge $0.50 or more per word.

The type of writing project you do is another factor in determining how much money you make as a freelance writer. Some projects pay more than others. White papers, for example, typically pay $3,000 – $6,000 each, and are usually 5 – 10 pages long.

With rates like this, it’s definitely possible to earn $200 a day (or more).

Holly Johnson is an example of someone who started a freelance writing business just a few short years ago. Today, she consistently earns well over $100,000 a year writing for different businesses from the comfort of her home.

Freelance writing has given Holly a tremendous amount of flexibility in her life. She can take time off when she needs or wants instead of having to ask a boss for permission.

An avid traveler, Holly’s freelance writing business also gives her the flexibility to take several trips with her family a year. Try doing that with a traditional job.

The great thing about this business is that it’s portable. As long as you are traveling to a place with a decent internet connection, you can take your laptop with you and work while you are on vacation. Just imagine working on a writing project with the beach just a short walking distance away.

Being a freelance writer is, quite possibly, the ultimate lifestyle business. It gives you the freedom to create a lifestyle that most could only dream about.

The great thing about this opportunity is that you don’t have to have a college degree to do this. Clients really don’t care whether you have a degree in English or something else. They mainly just care about the results you get for them. They are far more interested in your writing ability than your formal education.

3. Be a Virtual Assistant

Yet another way to earn $200 a day is to be a virtual assistant. Like freelance writing, this is another business opportunity that lets you work from home. As long as you have access to a good internet connection, this business is portable, and you can take it with you on vacation, to your kid’s dance or soccer practice, or somewhere else.

What is a virtual assistant?

A virtual assistant is someone who works remotely for someone and helps that person with a variety of different tasks. Virtual assistants typically communicate with their clients by email, phone, and video conference.

It isn’t entirely correct to think of a virtual assistant as a remote secretary. Yes, they can do work that is considered “secretarial,” but they also do many other things, too.

Just a few things a virtual assistant might take care of include:

  • Proofreading written documents
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Processing online orders
  • Responding to customer service emails
  • Bookkeeping
  • Research
  • Data entry
  • Posting on social media platforms
  • Copywriting
  • Email management
  • File management
  • Responding to support tickets
  • Invoicing clients
  • And many other things!

If you read through this list and thought to yourself that virtual assistants do a little bit of everything – you would be right. There is no typical day for a virtual assistant, and different clients will need you to do different things for them.

How much can you make as a virtual assistant?

As a virtual assistant, it’s definitely possible to earn $200 a day. If you land enough clients, it’s possible to earn more than that.

Kayla Sloan is an example of someone who does very well with her virtual assistant business. She started her business just a few short years ago and now earns six-figures a year working from home assisting her clients with their needs.

Yes, you read that correctly. Kayla earns over $100,000 a year as a virtual assistant.

Her success didn’t happen overnight though. She built her business over time. She started with one client (just like everyone does) and steadily added clients until she surpassed the six-figure mark.

How do you get started as a virtual assistant?

The best way to start a virtual assistant business is to learn from someone who is already successful as a virtual assistant – like Kayla Sloan.

In addition to operating a thriving virtual assistant business, Kayla also teaches others how to start and scale virtual assistant businesses of their own. Her course is entirely online, and you can complete it from the comfort of your home on your own schedule.

Kayla’s course is called $10k VA. As the name suggests, it shows you how to land your first client and grow your virtual assistant business so you can earn $10k per month (or more).

Just a few of the things you’ll learn in $10k VA include:

  • How to land your first client (and additional clients after that)
  • How to pitch your services to potential clients
  • How to set your rates
  • Running your business
  • How to turn your business into an agency
  • And much more!

If you are interested in learning more about the virtual assistant business and whether this is a good opportunity for you, Kayla offers a free workshop where she goes over the ins and outs of the business and how you can get started with the skills you already have (no need to go back to school).

Check out the $10k VA webinar to see why being a virtual assistant is such a great opportunity.

4. Be a Proofreader

Are you good with grammar? Does it crawl under your skin when someone misuses their, they’re, and there in sentences? If so, you might be able to earn $200 a day working as a proofreader.

Did you know there is a big demand for proofreaders in the world of court reporting?

Not only is it true, but it’s a great work-at-home opportunity that gives you a great deal of flexibility in your schedule and your life.

Why do court reporters need proofreaders?

Court reporters only make money when they are reporting on a specific job and for the finished work they turn in. Because of this, the more court reporting jobs they take on, the more money they make. If they have to spend a lot of their time listening to audio recordings of court proceedings to make sure everything matches what they recorded, it will use up a lot of valuable time that could be spent reporting on another case.

That’s why they rely on proofreaders to go over everything and make sure the finished product is highly polished.

Court reporters are great clients because they give you repeat work. Once you land work with a court reporter, if you do good work, the chances of that person giving you repeat work is very good.

Proofreading for court reporters isn’t the only way to make money in this business. You can also earn money by proofreading other things, too, like books and blogs.

Caitlin Pyle is an example of someone who earns a full-time living proofreading from the comfort of her home. She started proofreading for court reporters in 2012.

In addition to continuing her proofreading work, Caitlin also now teaches others how to become proofreaders with her Proofread Anywhere courses. Caitlin currently offers two proofreading courses: General Proofreading, and Transcript Proofreading.

General Proofreading is a good course to start with if you are new to the world of proofreading. This course covers the mechanics of proofreading and how to market your services to potential clients (even if you don’t have any experience).

Transcript Proofreading is an advanced course for those who want to take their skills and proofreading career to the next level. This is the only course that teaches transcript proofreading and focuses on proofreading for court reporters.

If being a proofreader sounds intriguing but you would like to learn more about the opportunity first, Caitlin offers a free online webinar where she goes over everything in detail. It’s completely free to attend, so you don’t have anything to lose except a little of your time.

Check out the Proofreading webinar to see why this is an opportunity that is in demand.

5. Be a Virtual Bookkeeper

Starting your own virtual bookkeeping business is another way that you may be able to make $200 a day.

There are tens of thousands of small and medium-sized businesses that need the services of bookkeepers. They need someone to help them maintain accurate records of their transactions and financial positions.

Why do businesses use virtual bookkeepers?

Many businesses use independent bookkeepers who are not employees to save money. You see, many small businesses don’t have enough work to keep a full-time bookkeeper busy all day long. They just need someone to update the books once a day to account for the previous day’s transactions.

That’s where you come in.

As a virtual bookkeeper, you can work from home updating your clients’ financial records remotely. And, contrary to popular belief, you do not need a degree in accounting to work as a bookkeeper. You just need to have a working knowledge of bookkeeping and bookkeeping software (which can be learned).

If being a virtual bookkeeper sounds like something you might be interested in but you aren’t sure how to get started, Bookkeeper Launch is an online course that walks you through every step of starting your own virtual bookkeeping business and growing it into a thriving full-time income for you and your family.

Check out Bookkeeper Launch to see how owning your own bookkeeping business can change your life.

6. Start a Blog

Becoming a professional blogger is another way you may be able to earn $200 a day.

Did you know that blogging is big business?

Most people don’t. When most think of blogs, they tend to think of online diaries where people talk about what they had for lunch, their political views, or something else. Starting a blog to make money is typically not something that most consider.

And yet many bloggers earn full-time incomes from their blogs – from the comfort of their homes. Some bloggers earn well over the six-figure mark each year.

How do blogs make money?

Blogs can earn money in several different ways. They can earn money from ads, from affiliate commissions, from sponsored posts, and from selling digital products.

Ads are the most common way that blogs earn money. The internet is filled with ads, and just about every website you visit has ads plastered all over them.

There’s a good reason why there are so many ads on the internet – they earn money for website owners. How much you can earn from ads depends on how many people visit your site each month. It also depends on which company is providing the ads. Some companies pay more than others.

Affiliate commissions are another way that blogs make money, and they can be lucrative if you promote the right products. Being an affiliate simply means that you are promoting another company’s product. If someone clicks a link in your blog to that product and buys it, you earn a commission.

Some affiliate products pay quite a bit, while others only pay a little. The key to earning good money with this method is to promote the products that pay the best.

Finding affiliate products to promote isn’t difficult. There are affiliate networks you can join that have many different products and companies to choose from. Some companies also run their own affiliate programs.

Selling digital products is another popular way to make money with blogs. If you’ve ever purchased an online course or ebook, you’ve bought a digital product.

Starting a successful money-making blog isn’t just something you can do without a plan, however. You can’t just wing it. It requires specialized knowledge to make it work.

There are many pieces to the blogging puzzle, and you’ll need to learn all of them to be successful. You’ll need to learn WordPress (the software that runs most blogs), themes, niches, email marketing, and other things.

The best way to go about starting a money-making blog of your own is to study online courses on the subject. Alex Nerney and Lauren McManus, former personal trainer and CPA, are a couple who started a blog just a few years ago. Their blog now consistently earns six-figures.

In addition to running a successful blog, Alex and Lauren also teach others how to start money-making blogs of their own in their Create and Go series of courses. They currently offer the following three courses:

Launch Your Blog Biz
Pinterest Traffic Avalanche
Six-Figure Blogger

Launch Your Blog Biz is for those who are just starting out. It takes you step-by-step through the process of building and launching a blog. Pinterest Traffic Avalanche is all about driving traffic to your blog through Pinterest. and Six-Figure Blogger covers how to turn your blog into a six-figure business.

Alex and Lauren also offer a special deal if you buy all three courses at once in their Pro Blogger Bundle.

7. Sell Products on Amazon

Another strategy to make $200 a day is to start a business selling products on Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer.

Did you know that many of the products listed on Amazon are actually sold by third-party retailers (companies other than Amazon)? It’s absolutely true. Not only that, but many of those third-party retailers are small businesses operated out of people’s homes.

Through Amazon’s Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) program, you may be able to sell your products on the company’s platform. You do have to apply and be accepted to participate, but the application process is not complicated.

After you have established a seller account with Amazon, you can then send your products by mail to the company’s warehouses and have them listed right on Amazon’s website. If one of your products sells, Amazon takes care of picking it from inventory, packing it, and shipping it. Amazon also takes care of any customer service issues.

Why does Amazon do this?

Amazon earns commissions from all of the third-party products it sells. These third-party products also allow Amazon to have a greater selection of products for customers to choose from.

Selling products is not a quick way to wealth. It does take a while to build up your inventory and for your products to start selling consistently.

This is a legitimate business you can run mostly from your home, although it may take a while to get to $200 a day with this method. It’s best to think of it as a long-term business strategy where your income can continue to increase over time as you build your inventory.

If this opportunity sounds like something you might be interested in, there is an online course you can take, the Proven Amazon Course, that teaches you everything you need to know to be successful. Just a few things you’ll learn in the Proven Amazon Course include:

  • An introduction to selling on Amazon
  • How to get started
  • How to source inventory
  • An overview of the tools you’ll need to be successful
  • How to grow your business
  • And much more!

Check out the Proven Amazon Course to see how it can help you build an online business you can be proud of.

8. Be an Affiliate Marketer

If you are wondering how to make $200 dollars in one day, being an affiliate marketer is another way that you may be able to make it happen.

We briefly touched on the subject of affiliate marketing in the discussion on being a blogger. But it’s possible to promote affiliate products even if you don’t have a blog. The way you do that is by building landing pages and sending traffic to those pages with paid ads.

First, what’s a landing page?

A landing page is a single web page that people are sent to when they click a link in an advertisement or an email. The landing page usually has detailed information about the product being promoted. It may contain a long-form sales letter, a video sales letter, or something else that prompts people to buy the product offered.

There are several affiliate networks you can join to find products to promote as an affiliate marketer. When someone clicks a special link on a landing page you build and makes a purchase, you earn a commission.

How do people find your landing page so they can click on your affiliate product link?

The best way to get people to view your landing page is to use paid advertisements through social media platforms. Facebook and Pinterest are two popular options for ads.

Facebook’s advertising platform allows you to target people who are most likely to be interested in whatever it is that you are promoting. This way you can increase the number of sales you make. It also helps you to save money by not targeting those who probably won’t be interested.

Pinterest’s ad platform works similarly, but you target keywords instead of people. For example, if someone is trying to promote an affiliate program on dog training, that person might target something like “best dog training program,” or something similar.

There is an art to affiliate marketing. It takes practice to get good at picking out affiliate offers that people will be interested in buying. It also takes practice to learn how to use paid advertising successfully and to build landing pages that convert.

As an affiliate marketer, it’s possible that your first few campaigns may not be successful. Persistence is the key to success. It’s important to learn from your early mistakes and continually fine-tune your offers. Success comes with experience and not giving up.

9. Do Odd Jobs in Your Community

If you are looking for a way to make a fast $200 dollars, doing odd jobs for people in your community is another way you may be able to make it happen.

People need help all the time with various tasks. Just a few examples include: help moving, minor home repair jobs, handyman services, yard cleanup, laundry services, furniture assembly, painting, running errands, and other things.

There are several ways you can advertise your services. First, you can advertise that you are available to help people out with odd jobs by posting ads online on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and other places.

Another way to connect with people who need help with things is to go through TaskRabbit. TaskRabbit is a website that connects those who are available to do odd jobs with those who need someone to help out. For this to work, however, you do need to live in a city that TaskRabbit services. Be sure to check the company’s website to see if your city is listed.

Doing odd jobs to make $200 today is a great way to make some fast money. But another thing to consider is turning it into a full-time career. Handyman services, for example, are always in-demand.

If you live in a large enough community, you may be able to earn a full-time living by starting and running your own handyman business. As far as equipment goes, all you really need is a truck or van and some common tools.

If doing odd jobs is something you are considering, be sure to check with your local and state authorities to see if there are any regulations, restrictions, or licenses you need to obtain before you start advertising your services.

10. Mow Lawns

There’s nothing exciting or sexy about mowing lawns, but depending on where you live, it can pay very well. For those who are wondering how to make $200 dollars a day, this is an old standby method that shouldn’t be overlooked.

One of the reasons why mowing lawns tends to pay so well is because it’s hard work. It can be especially difficult if you live in an area of the country where it gets hot and humid during the summer months.

With this opportunity, you may be able to use your clients’ lawn mowers. If this isn’t an option, you will have to use your own mower. This means you’ll need a way to transport it from one job to another.

In addition to mowing lawns, you could also offer other lawn care services including weed trimming, bush trimming, landscaping, and others.

Mowing lawns is a seasonal job, and unless you live in southern Florida or somewhere else where lawns grow all year long, you won’t be able to do this year-round. Because of this, you will need another way to make money during the off season.

11. Sell Your Stuff

Ways to make money fast in a day are not limited to working a job or running a business. If you need to make $200 today and you don’t have time to market your services, one way you may be able to earn some quick cash is to sell some of your stuff.

Most people accumulate a lot of stuff over the years, stuff that they may no longer be using or need. You may be able to find some stuff to sell by going through your attic, basement, closets, garage, and other storage areas to see if you have anything you can sell that you are no longer using.

You may be able to sell your stuff for some quick cash by posting it on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, or another online marketplace. You may also be able to able to sell your stuff by organizing a yard sale or garage sale.

Large yard and garage sales tend to attract more buyers than small ones. You may be able to increase the size of your sale by seeing if any of your family, friends, or neighbors want to join forces with you to clear out some of their clutter and make some money.

12. Ask for Overtime

Another way to make $200 in a day is to simply work more hours in your job.

How do you do that?

You ask your boss if you can work overtime.

This strategy only works if you have a job that pays an hourly wage. If you are a salaried employee, you won’t get paid any extra for working more hours. It’s also entirely up to your boss whether you will be allowed to work more hours or not. There are no guarantees, especially if there are others who would also like to work overtime.

Working overtime does have it’s disadvantages, the main one being fatigue. Working overtime can make for a long day, and working those extra hours isn’t always easy.

13. Sell Stock Photography

Are you someone who enjoys photography? Do you enjoy taking pictures of nature, objects, and other things that interest you in your community? If so, you may be able to sell your pictures online to eventually earn $200 a day.

Where do you sell pictures online?

There are many stock photography sites that let you create an account and upload pictures you have taken for others to buy. The great thing about these sites is that you can upload the same pictures to different stock photography sites. Your pictures don’t have to be inclusive to just one site.

Who buys stock photography pictures?

Many businesses buy these pictures for advertising purposes. They are used in ads, in websites, and other places. It’s important to keep in mind that when you sell pictures, you need to sell them with commercial rights to make your images more attractive and useful to buyers.

The great thing about stock photography is that you don’t need to be an amazing photographer to start making money with this method. You need to be a good photographer, but not amazing.

If you take the time to study the pictures on these sites (which you should definitely do if you are considering selling on these sites), you will probably notice that many of the pictures they list are nothing special. Many of the images are just pictures of objects like barns, roads, vehicles, and other things.

Here’s an important caveat to consider if you are thinking about selling stock photos: This is not a quick way to wealth. It’s more of a slow crawl type of strategy.

Selling stock photos is a numbers game, to make any real money with this strategy, you will have to upload thousands of pictures. It could take you a while to take and upload enough stock images for it to make an impact on your finances.

Most stock photographers only make $0.25 – $0.45 per image per month. Because of this, selling stock photos may be a good way to earn some extra money on the side or to combine with other strategies on this list to reach $200 a day.

14. Be a Tutor

Do you have a special talent that you could teach to others? Nearly everyone is good at something. Maybe you are really good at math. Perhaps you have been playing the drums for years in a local band. Or maybe you possess another teachable talent that others would like to learn or need help with.

Being a tutor is another way that you may be able to earn $200 a day. It just depends on how great the demand is for whatever it is you teach and how much the competition charges.

If others in your area charge $10 an hour for voice lessons, for example, it will be very difficult to reach $200 a day. However, if the standard rate is $50 an hour, then $200 a day is a real possibility.

If you are interested in tutoring, you must have a good place to instruct others. Many people give lessons in their homes, but it’s also common for tutors to travel to their students’ homes. It may also be possible to meet at a public library, park, or somewhere else.

Another option to consider is to tutor online. Yes, through VIPKid, it’s possible to be a virtual tutor to kids in China entirely from the comfort of your home. To qualify, you do need to have at least a bachelor’s degree and have some previous experience teaching or tutoring kids.

If you are considering VIPKid, it’s important to point out that you will either have to do this either very early of the morning or late at night (if you are in North America). China is on the other side of the world, and you will have to tutor kids during times when they are available.

Check out VIPKid to see how you can be a virtual tutor.

15. Be a Pet Caretaker

People love their fur babies. Most people consider their dogs, cats, and other animals to be members of the family. Because they love their animals so much, many people pay good money to have someone take care of their pets when they are away.

Being a pet caretaker could mean watching pets for a day when their owners are away for a day trip or something else. It could also mean boarding animals and keeping them for several days at a time.

As a pet caretaker, you will be responsible for making sure the animals you keep have plenty of food and water. You will also have to spend some time with them to make sure they are entertained and happy. It may also be necessary to take dogs for walks to make sure they do their business (if that’s what they are used to).

For this to work for you, it’s necessary to live in a place where you have plenty of room for the animals. Also, this may not work for those who live close to others because of the noise that some animals make.

It’s important to point out that you will most likely have to board several pets at a time to reach $200 a day in income. This is another opportunity you could potentially combine with something else to earn money or as a side hustle outside of your regular job.

16. Be a Pinterest Virtual Assistant

This is a great opportunity for those who are creative.

I’ve already mentioned how you can make $200 a day as a virtual assistant, but another option to consider is to specialize and be a Pinterest virtual assistant.

Pinterest is really big with bloggers right now because they use the platform to drive traffic to their blogs. It’s a powerful tool they use to get eyeballs on the articles they post.

Many bloggers, however, don’t have a lot of extra time to spend pinning things to Pinterest. It takes a lot of time to write engaging articles that readers love. Because of this, many bloggers hire virtual assistants to handle their Pinterest accounts for them.

To make a living as a Pinterest virtual assistant, you will need to land several clients who continue to use your services monthly. Pinterest virtual assistants typically earn $25 – $50 per hour for their work.

17. Start an Online Dropshipping Store

Another strategy you can use to eventually make $200 a day is to start an eCommerce dropshipping business.

What is dropshipping?

Dropshipping is when you make an arrangement with a company or wholesaler to have products shipped directly from their warehouses to your customers when you receive an order.

Let’s say you sell basketballs. If someone places an order on your website for a basketball, you contact the company that makes the ball and purchase the item. The company then ships it directly to the customer on your behalf. You charge a premium over what the company charges you. The premium is your profit.

The main advantage of dropshipping is that you don’t have to store any inventory. You don’t have to fill a spare bedroom or your garage with products and hope that they eventually sell. You only purchase an item when a customer places an order.

Your online store can be hosted on a digital platform like WooCommerce, Shopify, and others (requires a monthly fee). And customers can find your products by using SEO and paid advertisements.

This is another opportunity that takes time to build and scale. It is not a fast way to wealth.

18. Create and Sell an Online Course

Knowledge is big business – and if you have specialized knowledge in something, you may be able to turn it into an online course and sell it to help you earn $200 a day.

Online courses are very popular right now, and many of them routinely sell for $97 – $497 each. The great thing about online courses is that you don’t have to be an expert to make good money selling them. You just have to know more than the people taking your courses.

Online courses are very easy to create. You don’t even have to film yourself if you don’t want to. You can use simple screen capture software to record you narrating a PowerPoint slide presentation or doing something on the internet.

After you have filmed everything, you can then upload your course to an online course platform like Thinkific or Teachable (requires a monthly fee). You can then use paid advertising (Google ads, Bing ads, YouTube ads, Facebook ads, Pinterest ads, etc.) to drive traffic to your landing page to help you sell it.

19. Start an Etsy Store

Are you someone who enjoys making arts and crafts? Maybe you’re really into making jewelry or painting beautiful pictures. Whatever craft it is that you enjoy, you may be able to make money (to help you reach $200 a day) by selling your creations on Etsy.

Etsy is an online platform that nearly anyone can join where you can list your handmade, antique, and other unique items for sale. It’s important to point out that Etsy isn’t free. They do charge various fees for you to have a store with them.

If you decide to start an Etsy store, it may take a while for it to grow. Because of this, Etsy stores make good side hustles to earn extra income.

20. Self-Publish Kindle Books

Do you enjoy reading? Maybe you are someone who would prefer to curl up with a good book instead of watching TV of the evenings. Maybe you’ve even tried your hand at writing a novel or some short stories but you aren’t sure what to do with your manuscripts.

If you’re a book nerd (like me), then you might want to consider self-publishing your creative works to the Kindle platform.

Many people have e-readers these days, and one of the most popular is the Kindle, which is owned by Amazon. Kindle makes it very easy to self-publish your stories and have them listed for sale on the Amazon website.

The process is fairly simple, and instructions are provided to guide you. Also, many authors create their own book covers using Canva or Photoshop. But if you aren’t skilled in graphic design, you can always hire someone to make book covers for you. Affordable book cover designers can be found on Fiverr and Upwork.

Many people sell their books online as a side hustle, but there are also plenty of authors who earn full-time livings self-publishing books. Your earnings depend on how hard you work, how many books you publish, how well you promote your books, and of course, how good your books are.

Also worth noting is that when you upload your book to Kindle, you can also make it available to customers as a print version, too. You know, old fashioned books made from actual paper.

Self-publishing books to the Kindle platform is a great way to earn some extra income or to eventually earn $200 a day as you expand the number of books you have available. It’s also really cool to be able to call yourself a published author.

Choosing the Right Opportunity

Making $200 a day may sound like an impossible dream to many. But it’s not impossible at all. It requires choosing the right opportunity and then working hard to make your dream come true.

It’s also important to never give up. Every business venture that has ever existed has had its ups and downs. When the going gets tough, it’s important to hang in there and not throw in the towel.

Most successful entrepreneurs were not successful with the first business venture they tried. They usually achieved success after experiencing a series of failures. Those failures teach important lessons that can help make a future business venture successful.

Earning $200 a day is an achievable goal. Ultimately, it’s up to you as to whether or not you earn that amount. With enough hard work and persistence, however, it’s definitely possible.
